Free Rangin'

Day 28 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. Oil, 6"x 6" canvas, 1.5" sides painted black. No need to frame. Well, phooey! I'm supposed to be improving, but I definitely regressed today. My bad habit of getting into too much detail is what always gets me in trouble. I should have painted just normal, generic chickens! But, nooooo . . . I had to go with Buff Orpingtons, which are really beautiful chickens, but you'd never know if from this painting. Some good friends of ours raise these chickens, and I have so many photos of them! I tried to add some grasses and weeds, but it just made a blurry mess. Live and learn. Only two more paintings to go! SOLD!
