Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art Plein Air Paint Out March 2014
The Root House Museum Pastel 8x10
The weather was horrible for the Paint Out--raining, windy and cold. I found a place to paint from inside my car, in the First United Methodist Church parking lot, across the street from The Root House. Then I turned around and painted the replica log cabin church next to the parking lot. I hurried too much on the log cabin--was ready to quit! Should have spent more time on it. But the Artists' Reception was a lot of fun, meeting the other artists and seeing the artwork. The weather was just as bad last year--I just watched--and unfortunately, this is the only weekend that the museum has open for the Paint Out. Hoping for better weather next year.
