This experiment of painting abstract landscapes has been quite interesting. I have an idea of what I want to paint, and
the result is nothing like it! I think I rely too much on the reference photos, and should probably use my imagination
more. This painting looks more like octopuses, or snarls of purple spaghetti! Will keep plugging along.
I LOVE wisteria, and enjoy seeing it draped over trees in all the wooded areas around town in the spring. For a noxious weed, it's really beautiful. I know some people plant it on purpose, but most of it is just
purple gone wild!
